nurburgring 2015 trip car preparation
Hi all
Me and 2 other guys are going top the nurburgring in june and ive made some upgrades to my car from last year.
here is what I am doing
Michelin pilot sport cup tyres on lighter wheels 8KG weight saving on each wheel. The bbs wheels (my road wheels) weigh about 28KG with tyres the new track wheels weigh about 19KG with tyres.
Sport front Bumper with spoiler splitter. I had to get a sport bumper so the splitter would fit as there is no splitter for the c43 bumper

Those tyres look strange. How old are those, I had cups and cup2 and they don't look like either. Good luck at the ring, I do a lot of tracks around the world and that place scares me every time.

Few quick questions, I was looking at the online pictures of your setup. what rear sway bar is that? also which model did the front calipers and rotors come from?
I am running a similar suspension to what you had before the KW's, is the price really worth it? I do like to drive my car through the canyon roads.
Thanks and best of luck. post pictures of your run.

Hi the front brakes are from a slk55 Amg and maks a big improvement on braking
The rear sway bar is factory
The reason I got the KWs was adjustment so I could lower and corner balance for track but just for road then you set up is fine

Looks really good man
Agree with ditching the C43 front, though more poorly constructed and heavier I've ordered a new euro C36 front/fogs from mb $$, hope to make a nice splitter for it in near future.
Love the wheels you will really feel the weight reduction, what are the specs and weights without tires?
Edit - did you install your rear spoiler? does it have 3rd brake light?.
GOodluck on the ring

MB wheels soo heavy huh!,
Thanks for the weights!.. I thought maybe my BBS's were heavy but 18x8.2 et35 9.8kg and 18x9.2 et35 9.9kg doesn't sound so bad for street rims now
