i think red color c43's are the nicest cars of them all, rosso c43's are sexy as hell!
red in the correct nuance is a very seductive color on a car or woman.
chrome wheels can be replaced to your likings

no idea why "salvage title" means anything on a car that would list for maybe 5,500 at max anyway. I love my C43's and wouldn't care if one had a salvage title. who here is worried about resale value and salvage titles?

The only reason im worried is because this car has some kind of a chance of becoming a future classic.
Think about it, most cars that dont end up being salvage were still wrecked and had a significant amount of damage. 15 years ago vandalism wouldnt add up to make this car a salvage title......the whole thing is retarded and is not thought through. The cost to repair and parts for these cars are still ridiculous but they are worth nothing so i dont know why the car is still made salvage if the repair values exceed 75% of the value of the car. They need to come up with some kind of avarage where the value of parts and age of the car is considered as well.
Obviously a set of tiny plastic rubber seals that sit between the fender and a side skirt doesnt cost $80 for a corolla but for our old car thats worth 4k it still does

"Salvage title" is a non-starter if you're looking for a decent potential resale in the future. If you're going to own the car forever, then it's up to you to do the due diligence to confirm the condition of the car. For each successive owner, that will be the same obligation.

I agree...but that red and chrome is just a little too much for my liking. I prefer stand to not stand out like that. still a 43 so I love it either way

I own a rebuilt titled 43. From my understanding, the car suffered damages when the transport truck slid off the road during shipment to one of our members. Pictures are on here somewhere. Everything was replaced with genuine parts & was repainted. Only has a slight oil leak I have yet to resolve. I've also redone the suspension and almost all of the suspension components. It looks, runs, & drive great. Has a couple slight imperfections as expected with a 15 year old car. I talk it down, but honestly it's pretty damn clean. With nearly 130k mi. what would you guys pay? I listed it once at 127k mi. for $7k & received an offer for $6200, but couldn't part with it. If I put a 55 motor in it, would it be worth any more, or would the money spent on that be all sunk costs?

every buck you invest in your car is a buck lost when you sell her to someone else.
the new owner will apprechiate you're taking care of your car, the new owner doesn't have to replace the wear n tear parts coz u were dat sukker waisting money on your car.
sadly but true.
therefore don't sell your car keep it for life as this is a special vehicle in your heart.
i'll never sell my car as i will lose a lot of money on her, my motto is, keep her for life as long as you can afford her!
btw.
do you notice any of the damage on your car, panels which were replaced or other parts?
maybe some panels wasn't aligned properly or other small defects or glitches?
i saw those pictures once when previous owner showed them here, every panel was beat up so was the roof.
do you know if roof panel was cut n replaced?

Haha I'm always that sucker wasting money on cars I tend to purchase them, fix em up, then sell em a year or two after. But no, have not noticed anything funky. Has all AMG body parts except the fender; it needs to be rolled. I don't think every panel was beat up. Not sure about the roof. I was told there was no bondo used. Body lines match up perfectly. Never had a leak or issues with the sunroof, etc. I've put a decent amount of money & time into her, but I like the piece of mind that everything is pretty much new. I'm very meticulous with my cars; she was stored all winter so no salt could eat at it.

those were the only pics i saw on this forum, haven't seen other?
regarding your passenger side front fender, this is stock w202 and the drivers side is an AMG rolled fender?
must look very funky?
wonder why bodyshop didn't get an AMG rolled fender?
however now you know what is left vs right side on your car.

yeah, i think MB rolled the fender when it was sold to any c43 customer as spare part
there must be some differenece between fenders when you compare them.
the wrong fender does it cover the top of the wheel like on the other side?

there's a bigger mystery in another thread where I have 2 C43's. I have replaced driver side fender on both. but on both cars neither sides fender is rolled. I somehow ended up with 2 C43's that either didn't get their front fenders rolled, or they both had their fenders replaced with OE w202 fenders but nothing shows up on carfax...

A nice c43 with a clean title would list for more than 5500 anyway, close to double that. Salvage title makes a difference.
To me, if a car has a salvage, it will never be perfect again. I deal with cars all day long and you can always tell if you look around close enough.
