I would fill the holes with some plastic glue, then drill and tap some new threads in the faulty holes.

Can't see in pics but the transition between lower to upper can be improved a lot, also the edges around the maf opening. Its not so much the baffling I'd focus more on smoothing and rounding the edges.

But I wouldn't worry too much about it too. I don't think the 55k setup is that great plus it won't fit onto n/a engine directly without modification, those cars don't even have a maf. Plus I don't believe there is any benefit.

It's correct, 55K airbox need little mods. to fit,,

but why you think 55K airbox not great, do you have any comparison between 55K's & stock's..?!!!?

and what's the problem if using any kind of airbox from models that doesn't has MAF..!!-!!

ZAYED,,
The problem is that they won't fit, the naturally aspirated cars have a maf which sits up. The compressor cars don't have this or the elbow that the n/a cars have, the intake ducting attaches directly to the throttle motor.
There is nothing really wrong with the 55k airbox but just looking at it there is nothing to gain over standard box. In the end there is very little gain to be had from stock. I maybe noticed slight gain going to the renntech, maybe, and you won't get much better than that as it is wide open with a bubble top for more volume and nice smooth free flow.

I see,

Not that hard to fit 55K airbox, i put them on "W202/W208/W210" before,

55K airbox doesn't get a direct heat from intake manifold, cause it's separately 2 boxes, also no need to get-off 55K boxes for filter cleaning or replacing,,

*did you see if worth it to go with Renntech airbox for ($1,580) to get 8>>10hp..

ZAYED,,
