If I didn't already have 2 C43's, I'd absolutely roll the dice on this thing.

Any takers?

Omg not me.. Look at it. The pile of dried spilled coffee on the shifter plate, window has been down so god only knows what's left of the interior, dumb asses put diesel in it and the transmission is shot. Poor 36 what a fate for what started out such a nice car. Not saying it couldn't be fixed but damn son... They're a lot nicer cars to start with.

Yeah, that's pile have been on CL for at least six months. I think she was asking some outrageous amount $$$ before. $2k is not a bad gamble but I just don't have the time or energy.

Not running due to diesel in the fuel system and a dead transmission. Hate to even take a close look at the interior as the window was left open. I'm pretty sure the paint will be shot as well. In my opinion the car is too far gone to make any financial sense. If it were running and driving it would be a different story.

eh, it's still got the "cheap" transmission being a C36, and there's no real certainty that it was actually slipping in the first place. through the years I've dealt with many cars where the owner complained the transmission was "slipping" and it very clearly was not slipping. it was flaring, shifting too hard, etc. slipping is a really specific symptom and most people use that word to describe any perceived transmission abnormality.

cleaning out the fuel system would be a minor pain, but not expensive or difficult.

however you're exactly right on the window being left down. that's what could have already killed this poor C36
