C43 Xenon Lens
Has anyone used a non-xenon lens on a xenon headlight? If yes where there any noticeable difference?Did it fit ok?
And does anyone have a lens that came off a xenon light for sale? If yes how much with shipping to Chicago, 60618?
Thanks In Advance.

that first question is kind of confusing to understand
are you saying has anyone used a non-xenon lens on a xenon headlight? or the other way around?
I also need a xenon lens...

Hopefully someone has and we both can purchase a non xenon lens for a good price. Otherwise I'm going aftermarket, dealer wants $298.00 each lens. I don't drive at night much so I don't really need or care for xenon, specially at these ridiculous prices to replace when something goes bad...
I could use that cash saved on something else for the car.

Ok I made it easy to understand using your own wording.

PJ, I might be wrong but I would guess that the lense is oriented differently to give it those sharp "cutoffs" that HID lenses produce. I have the OEM xenon lights in my car so I can't really tell what is different. But generally speaking, that is what you find with HID lenses.

but I only remember the outcome: not only are the lenses different, the reflector housing inside is different. putting HID's in a halogen headlight won't ever shine right. the light scatters everywhere inside and is only worsened by the halogen lens. you can put a xenon lens on it and it helps, but it's still not right.
the best result was the OE xenons (duh). the reflector paired with the lenses will direct the light very accurately instead of spreading it in all directions.
boom http://kropf.net/w202/headlamps/ found it
