Don't buy K&N
Bought K&N filters for my c43 since the stock ones were original. Car runs like sh*t and feels like it can't breathe at 3500+ RPM. Putting stock back in. Reset the ECU. Still didn't help. Waste of $130

I could have told you that lol.
The oil is why it sucks. Someone told me to leave it outside and let it dry up for a few days before putting it in the car.

Fully Agree with you guys,,
[!!..buying oily filter = buying Headache..!!]
any kind of particles or liquid will harm the MAF film reading, that will definitely affect to the air performance system during high temp..?!?
absolutely you will not know or even not feel this, cause you're not room mate in the MAF house..!!-"I"-!!

I have always used K&N filters on my cars with no problems. Here's what I do when installing them:
Don't over oil
Let it sit for a few minutes
Use a vacuum to pull oil off the filters
If the vacuum seems to have pulled to much, spray some more, let it sit, vacuum again.
I've not had problems as long as I do this procedure.

Guys! I VERY carefully read all the poop sheets that came with the K&N filters. They are preoiled! you can tell from some very slight oil in the packaging bag and the smell. I may be wrong and people are supposed to tune into some tribal knowledge. If so please let me know ive got to oil them.
And...But...you have to wait overnight to let the things dry. This MAF soilment talk makes this seem a realistic thing...let em dry!
All thats said I definitely think I have a noticable power increase over the genuine OEM paper filter. Ive straight pipes from the primary cats so cant hear the intake, for sure.
Even my daughter said the car felt "lighter"...I kid all not.
