Unfortunately there is just no more money in the w202 market (not until they start appreciating again in a few years time). And by then everyone will be trying to return them to bone stock for collector value

there are serious people and there un-serious peeepol.
non responding time wasters are the worst

this looks very heavy, but once you reach 25-30 mph the engine bay is cooled by outside air.

i dont think would work unless maybe you wrap the entire box (bottom, top, sides, front, back) and all air hoses

I was thinking of wrapping the bottom part of the airbox, heat from engine and intake travels up and heating the bottom of the airbox.

maybe it won't help reducing heat by wrapping the bottom part as heat travels around the engine and cooking everything.

You're better off venting the hot air out of the engine. Insulation in that area just keeps the engine hotter. Just my opinion.

Anything that lets the hot air out will work. Just has to look right, and that's the hard part.
