Same camshaft for a c36amg as in a E320?

I have a c36 amg -96 with vin: WDB2020281F320682
My camshaft for the the intake snapped and now i looking for a used one.
I been told by the dealership that it's the same camshaft for more then just the c36. i got one from a scrapyard that's been on a E320 w124 automatic -1995 with vin: 1240921F307408

Is there anyone out there thats been trying to put another camshaft in a amg model?

I think Exhaust cams are the same on all M104, but AMG Intake cams should be different..!!

Well i want to be sure. As far as i can tell from looking on epc they have the same part number. Shouldn't it be changed if AMG changes anything with it?

I can't find any part number on the actaual camshaft. Not the amg one or the E320 one.

So they are different. I would have thought that AMG modified the intake cam when tuning this engine.

Seem like you were right. But is it impossible to use a camshaft from a e320?

It's very hard to find a camshaft for a c36 model even from the dealership.

What am i suppose to do if i'm not gonna be able to find one?

I'm not a specialist but I imagine it is possible if the bearings, spocket, etc. are the same. Don't know about the timing if it is the same, nor if the ecu will adapt.

It will probably fit but you may lose a few hp. Search far and wide for aftermarket that fit your engine and all 6 cyl mercedes.

Read a thread here where someone with a 5.4 m113 replaced their cams with m113k and there was no gain. Also someone with m113k replaced their cams with SLR cams but they had to use a spacer and grind a little and had nice gains, maybe (guesstimate) 20 hp.

Isn't the CIS m104 intake cam the same as the C36 one?
