whissle sound inside cabin what is dat?
randomly after I have start my car I hear a whissle sound from inside the cabin, it happened a few times this week when I was out driving my car.
whissle sound only happens for a few seconds after I have started my car, car on idle
I thought noise came from my speakers but I'm not sure anymore?
whissle sound is almost like a prank whissle
did anyone experiance this corny whissle sound inside cabin?

well it happend to me a few times last week when I heard the whissle sound, I don't recall I have heard this sound before!?
does it really come from blower motor?
I have heard about blower motors going bad?!
when I keep the fan on very low blow, from my blower motor I can hear a very looooooooooow grinding sound from bearing coming from the blower motor under glove compartment.
after a drive when I turn off my car, then remove the key from ignition, I can hear the capacitors unload and empty them self from my stereo or speaker system, this must be fully normal behaviour when you turn off the car removing key from igntion?

Sounds like your ventilation motor could use some touch of grease in the bearings. The one in my old c240 made a horrible grinding sound. I pulled out the motor (you need to work on you back in the foot well so it's a bit of a ***** to do), just need to be carefull when pulling out the motor as most probably a heap of old leaves, bits of wood and dried up insects will fall out. Have your vacuum cleaner handy. Grease the bearings and reinstall. That should keep things quite again for a couple of years....
On the other hand, I have never heard the capacitors crackle and discharge when cutting the radio or ignition. Sounds weird and not normal IMO

When I turn off my killer high end HIFI at home, I can hear caps discharge from my stereo amplifier through each one of my speakers.
I hear pop - pop through each one of my speakers.
This is all normal process.
It sounds like a hitman using a silencer on his gun, you'll hear two shots pop - pop!

i found the issue.
you know what it was?
I'll tell ya, it was so stupid!
when I had the seat belt on me locked to the seat belt lock and leaning forward to fiddle with something further away in my car like opening the glove box still wearing my seat belt, I got a whissle sound from the seatbelt roller.
I had never heard this sound before and it was very strange, sound was like you make a whissle with your mouth, coming from the seatbelt roller.

I was thinking a leaf or debris stuck in the fan motor under the passenger dash. Happened to me a few times. Most of my prior and current MBs had intermittent interior sounds that come and go.
My C36 has the original windshield and when the temp here drops below 40f I sometimes get the worst scraping sound. I’m sure it has to do with the rubber seal surround. Like nails on a chalkboard!!

Whistle sound is most likely a vacuum actuator in the HEVAC unit which is leaking. I had this problem last spring...

nicht on mein car, I only hear the swooshy whistle sound when I have the seat belt on me and lean forward extending seatbelt with my torso.
i didn't know where it came from the first times as it only happened on random occasions.
then one day I was leaning forward to open the glove comp. and the strange sound appeared again, so I leaned forward again and the sound was back again.
sound comes from the belt roller in B-pillar when the belt is extended and pulled out a bit further more than needed.
it was kinda annoying when I didn't know what it was?
I thought I had a problem with my ventilation system which could be very costly.
luckily there was a lesser problem

i have a sound in the cabin too. it sounds like the airpump from the trunk and it goes off every 5 to 10 seconds. any advice on tracking it down? im guessing it could really be anything...

you might have a leak somewhere?
pneumatic eir pumpe has plastic tubes attached for each operating functione
doing a leak test might not be an easy task to find the sneaky bugger?
do all features work on your car which are operated by eir pumpe?

mine does that too, its not very loud.
Areas where leaks will most likely occur are on the door actutors, below the seats, and the air seat controls. Could also be inside the seat on one of the connections for the seat pillows that inflate

yeh sometimes i feel like my seats deflate. i also think it could be the pump itself. i dont think its going to be easy to track down
