PS try racing the new 2k14 to 2k16 5 .0l mustang GT and you will get the surprise of your life topend!!!! My friend has an auto and runs low 12s with drag radials at 118mph. Also the present valve train can deal wth bigger cams and higher rev limiter no problems. These cars are over engineered. Ever ought out why you have a c280 diff connected to your 5.4l v8 and deals ith the 391ft lbs of torque quite well.
I agree 100%. i'm not going to go crazy on my 5.4 motor, just keep it as is.

I very seriously one day want to go the M113K route but there are so many unanswered questions as to what I need to get it done. Getting the engine to fit is one thing, but how much of the donor car do I need? What about ECU?

You can find crashed 55k cars for around $5k now. Buy the whole car and you have almost everything you need. I just don't want to pull the trigger until I know what needs to be done. The original 55 swap was painless and took less than a day and I had my car back.

Do i need engine, transmission, EIS, ecu? These swaps are happening now but I need to know what all is required!

edit: are you saying you got smoked by a stock 5.0 in the topend? or you were able to compete with him? honestly neither would shock me.

Fitting a 55k is not a major problem and has been done in the past. The BIG problem is getting the electronics to talk together in the same language... That also has been done but at what expense

Well yea I agree. Im just saying, I dont think the full potential of the na 5.4 has been realized yet.

Id much rather have a naturally aspirated even 400hp v8 in my 202 over the supercharged m113k
