C43 throttle body

Hi all,

Has anyone opened up the electronic section of the C43/E55 throttle body to service the throttle position sensor?

Ive done a fair few of the newer ones with the plastic cover, but not the older version.

Can the later version be used with the earlier cars? Is there some sort of adaptor for the plug?

Thanks all.

it's 74mm. I've opened one up, but not for servicing. more for learning how it works. I can see if I can find the parts out in my shop.

I adapted an M113 throttle body to work with my SLK harness. all the wires are the same, I just wired the plug that matched the throttle body into my SLK harness.

Do you mean; you put "M113 430" into "R170 or R171"..?

I contacted to many good companies regarding the fitment of bigger TB's, like (80mm/82mm),,

unfortunate; some of them like to play silent game & others doesn't like to draw smile to our faces..

the opening on the intake manifold is only 75mm anyway.
