Talking C43 amg coupe lease deal

Just got back from my dealer in NYC. This is my lease deal but not happy about putting any cash down for deposit. As this is my first dealing with leasing a car, any advise would help me a lot. Thank you.

What do you mean by deposit? You're putting $5500 as down payment that you'll never, ever, never, ever, and ever getting back.

Go back to the dealer and offer them this:

Zero down
$57K out the door.
Since you're in NY, you cannot give them MSDs (Multi Security Deposit) which bring the money factor down (btw the money factor and residual value are on point for the C43 coupe)

An alternative to inability to place MSDs is to pay off the lease upfront which also lowers the monthly payments.

By not doing any down payment your lease will go up about $300 per month but that is the way to go.
They only gave you $1k off so there is more to get there. Each $1k off lowers payment about $30.
Money factor =2.86%

You may want to look at the Star Advantage financing ... its similar to a lease as where there is a "balloon" payment at the end of the term ... benefit to this is the rates are usually lower by at least 1%, and you own the vehicle, so less bowing costs, and you are able to sell the vehicle etc at your discretion. Increase the term to 4 years, as it makes sense as the warranty is 4 years. This way you own the vehicle, and any down payment you make you may be able to recoup at the end of the term/when you sell it. The residual value can also be played with. I believe on a 4 year Star Advantage finance the end residual is 42.5% ... but you can lower it all depending on where you want your payment to be. This way at the end of the term, you have equity left in the vehicle and can reclaim some money. On mercedes benz usa website, under estimate a payment link, you can calculate the finance of the car with balloon financing option. Just a thought, maybe worth looking into

I was told they weren't even leading these, may have to hit the dealer soon. I want a C63, but I also want 4Matic...

Land Rover just emailed me offering to buy my Discovery Sport back... but the deal I got was too good to pass up.

Land Rover has awesome customer service in my experience.

Yes to all this above. However, how long before you want to kill yourself for paying $1000+ per month for a C43? Patience--don't overpay to be an early adopter. That's coming from somebody who did it (on everything from C63s to CL 550s to SL65s and a lot in between) for over a decade and lost every time by not waiting a bit longer to buy. For specific horror stories, PM me.

You can get a brand new 2017 S550 Sedan ($107ish) right now for 36 months at under $1300.00 per month with less than $5K cap reduction and about an hour or less of negotiating. A $1300 S Class or $1000+ C43? Think about it. There is just no value there. Better yet, go drive them.

The C43 is a great $750.00 per month car (with normal drive off amount), no more than that-- and that is what we will all be paying for it in 6 months or so.

And keep in mind as well, that the rumored 2018 C Class refresh is going to make some significant interior changes including the screens--if that matters to you.

That's when I'm getting in.

What do you mean by "paying off the lease upfront?"

It's called a 1 pay lease and you pay the whole amount up front and get a lower rate

What happens to that payment if you get into a bad accident that totals the car?

Want to own: C43 AMG Coupe
I am currently gettings a deal as follows:

36 mo term
12k miles

63k MSRP
1500 drive off
850 a month including tax

I am in southern california.... they said will call me in the morning to see if they can do any better..

I am hoping to get in the 600 - 700 payment range with minimal out of pocket cost.

Do you think it can happen?

ANY number is possible as long as you're willing to pay LOTS of money down. Pretty much you're not supposed to do that on a lease.

Focus on negotiating a low selling price/cap cost as that is the single most important factor to getting a lower monthly.

HINT: The selling price needs to be high $40s/low $50s to accomplish that ASSUMING you also have Tier 1 credit.

So do you think they'll give you more than $8,000 off the MSRP? That's the battle you should be fighting.

Some tricks the dealership will apply to lower your monthly:
a. Offer more than a 36 month lease.
b. Lower the mileage to less than 12,000/year.
c. Ask you to pay a larger down.

I was quoted $850/m on $67k MSRP Coupe from 3 dealers in NY, 1 from MA and 2 from NJ. +- $10... $2500 down and 36/12

2017 C43 Coupe
Here was my deal in Nov on a C43 Coupe

$61415 MSRP
$57422 SALE (6.5% DIS)
$0 CAP RED
51% RESIDUAL
.0013 MF (3.12%)
39 MOS / 15K MILES

$855/MO incl 9% PA lease tax

I'm happy with the discount considering the dealer just got the C43's the day before. I NEVER put down CAP money on leases. I wish the RES was higher, but it is what it is. (the buyout price will be lower should I decide to purchase at the end, but I never do)

2500 miles so far and I love the car as a daily driver.... its perfect.

For my C43 coupe MSRP was 63k. I put 2250 down 48 months/10k miles WITH maintenance included for $810 a month. Actually pretty happy with that.

I used the iPhone App "iLeaseCar XL"... it allows you to plug in all the variables to compute the monthly payment. You can also save different scenarios.

Options for c43

Does anyone know if you are able to "cherry pick" options for the c43? For example, if I just wanted the navigation and upgraded screen from Premium Pack 3, would I be allowed to option that alone?

Yes you can but some options require the addition of other options (pretty slick marketing and addit'l revenue stream).

Use the MBUSA website to see if your desired combination of options is available exactly as you'd like configured.

Be forewarned that dealers mostly want to move the cars they already ordered and are on the lot so they'll try to steer you that way. If you're really up for waiting for exactly the car you want, it will be several weeks at least.

yeah see on the website in order to get the navi you have to add premium pack 3...but that pack has options I don't care for. I just want the navi/upgrade screen and led lights honestly. I don't know if they'd let me do that

Your only recourse is to contact dealers and see if they can do that for you. Again, most will just try to sell you what they have on the lot or whatever's nearby.

Pretty standard to package options together.
If they do allow it, I would suspect it will cost you more for navi by itself than the whole premium package it's included in.

Otherwise everyone would turn their order process into a free-for-all of individual orders.
