That's quite telling, the new C63 really thumped the old one, the gap just keeps getting bigger after take off...

Traction didn't seem to be much of an issue either for the W205.

Makes me feel much better about selling my w204. Can't wait for the w205 coupe.

Wow it was the LCI C63 it beat, too. The MCT-equipped cars have less drivetrain loss/put more power down.

Still thoroughly enjoying my W204 but I am a big fan of the W205. Exterior styling is growing on me. The W205's interior is gorgeous and the performance is exactly what you'd expect from the successor to the throne. No real drop off in the sound department either.

MTV - I had the same initial impressions.... until I saw my W205 at the dealership in person...... and now I live with both in my garage. The new takes my interest.

But you know what they say about beauty.... eye of the beholder.

Always wanted an AMG with all the right stuff or combination, only now with the new 205 series has it finally come of age and worth acquiring.


No dis-respect however for the 204 series AMG's, they'll always be regarded as one of the best of its era.

Well said. The W204 C63 was the first C-Class AMG to really take it to the M3.

And the M156 motor . . . nothing more has to be said about that beast.

A W205 S model is likely in my future but, for now, I'm still thoroughly enjoying my W204.
