repost but still
But keep in mind that the M3's number seems too high. I guess they had some problems launching it. I just wanna see how M-DCT could bring up the M3's number as in Europe they have tested it from 0-200km/h and it was a full second quikcer than manual! |

The C63 may not have turbos to increase boost, but it has left many horses on the table for future use. Love the N54 motor.. but there in the last 2 weeks "hell broke loose" with BWM N.A. coming hard on the Piggy Back tunes. I'm not sure it I want to take that risk with a JBX, SSTT, Procede, Helix ect. Maybe only the Dinan ECU tune with FMIC and Oil Cooler. Its not going to stop the N54 tuners, but many are thinking twice about the V8 M3.

is it the biggest advantage for the M cars.. they have LSD's? Bottom line.. it was a head to head comparison and they must of done multiple runs and comes down to the driver. I would say Car Mag editors have way more experience most of the potential drivers of the superb M3. my point: Don't expect the manul M3 to be faster. M-DCT Yes!. 1 extra gear, super fast shifts.. I will be very close to the C63 and IS-F.

Owning a 335 MT, i just drove the new M3 at my dealer. The car is MUCH harder to drive than i thought it would be, so i can understand the higher than expected numbers. The car pulls very hard, but the shifts are tricky to get right, towards the end of the test drive i was getting better, but that car will more than likely put down its best numbers with the DCT. That being said, 335's N54 is a great motor with some decent tuning capabilities(the turbos are ultimately too small to put down huge numbers from a reliablity stand point imo). BTW strongly considering getting a silver C63, the car is flat out amazing.
