What happened to Erol Cenk?

My engine builder Erol Cenk is no longer shown on the AMG Private Lounge list of Master Mechanics. Based on other threads in this forum he built a lot of member's engines. Anybody know if he is still with AMG? Hoping he got promoted for being the best builder rather than fired for having the most rejects of the month.

Not so sure about that. If that were the case he'd still be shown on their list as an engine builder. I'm sure they don't list only the guys who build the 6.3 engines.

Yeah, that's funny, you're probably right. I figured he either got moved to the SLS team or the Smart team. Wow, what a brutal demotion that would be for an AMG mechanic, to be building Smart engines. That must be where Mercedes sends the guys with the worst quality control surveys now that they can't send them to Detroit to build minivans any more. That was probably their version of the Russians sending a guy off to Siberia as punishment.

I think others get their turn to be shown. My plaque 'Patrick Peschl' was not there for the longest time. This post prompted me to check and there he is.

I doubt they're displayed on a rotational basis. As long as you remain as a Master Mechanic, your plaque will be displayed on that website. It does take a while for the webmaster to update that site though.

If Cenk has been put onto the Smart division as chief mechanic, that hardly sounds like a demotion to me.
