changed my rear tires today

I thought i would be able to squeeze 6000 miles out of then, but the tread was getting pretty thin. I was driving my kid to college yesterday in a fairly heavy rain i am a very careful driver when the roads are wet. (never over the speed limit) it like we were losing adhesion every time we hit a puddle the rear end would shift from side to side. So i went today (5600 miles) and had some brand new bridgestone protenza pole position. The new tires were felt much more solid than the pzeros ever did. I got the work done at a local Big 10 Tire store, everybody loved the car and me a lot of questions. the owner said that the reason the tires wore out so fast was because of having a large negative camber. he told me that camber setup was only good for driving 80mph or faster. i told him it was perfect right where it was.

Did you stick with the stock size or did you move up to 265s (or even wider)?

stuck with the stock size but if this makes sense they fell more solid then the stock tires did.

great question. the tires cost a little over $500 from tire rack but install for both tires only cost $20. the manager at Big ten tires was practically drooling over my car so i think he gave me a break on mounting and balance and install

For the record I made it to 5875 miles on my rears, which included a track day and some burn-outs to finish them off properly.

Put P Zeros back on to keep a matching set, but will move to something else after the new ones go away.

i would highly recommend the bridgestone protnnze pole position i'm certain the tires are better than the pzeros in every aspect. I'm still running the pzeros on the front i figure to get about 4000- 5000 miles on them
