Anyone break a foglight lens??

broke the passenger side one, obviously a rock from these terrible edmonton roads. How much was the lens?

from what i hear is it true that the whole bumper has to come off to replace the fog assembly?

Yup, my c300 passenger side is broken. Not going to bother. I have first class lease protection. It us hard to even notice it.

Your doing something wrong then because I found almost a dozen threads in w204/c63 section by searching ' broken foglight '. I can't imagine what your doing.

Don't know about the left side - I would assume it is easier - but I was able to replace my right side foglight assembly by removing 4 bolts holding the oil cooler in place and pulling the cooler out of its seemingly indestructible bracket. Was only able to move the cooler back about 2 inches (very short hoses), but it was just enough to get the old light out and the new one in. Was a total PITA for what should be a 20 minute job (incl. 15 minutes of jacking car, removing tire and removing underbody shields), but much easier than R&R the bumper.
