I knew it was going to be bad but...
I knew winter driving was going to be bad, but this is just ridiculous. I drove home from work (maximum 5 minute drive normally), but it took well over 15 today. I've got michelin X-Ice tires on all four corners, but the rears need replacing.
The car started off as I expected. Pretty terrible, but it would stop well, and would require gentle throttle to get going. Then a warning light popped up. Then another warning light popped up.
Now I'm driving home with no traction control, no abs, no power brakes, and no power steering.
I knew it was going to be bad, I didn't know it was going to be like this. Ridiculous.

I dont understand your post? Are all the warning lights caused by winter driving or your bald rear tires? Or did you damaged something?

I can't imagine I broke something, because I didn't hit anything, or even get into a pothole.

Its fine. When you reach your destination and shut it off and start it back up. Drive on some flat surface and it will reset. The car does the same thing when it gets on the Dyno.

It sounds like you have a bad sensor somewhere... salt & electronics in our cars dont mix well, that's why I got a winter beater.

Jeezzzz.. living by the water on a rainy day should destroy my car then.
Like I said.. its fine. Its a result from your wheels spinning without restriction.

On the other hands, I used to drive my sport car in the winter... it was fine for the first 3-4 winters... but in the long run, everything started to rust & to fail. Our Canadian winters are not car friendly.

Thanks for the good infos, I'll keep that in mind if my car shows those symptoms.

The only questionable part I read was the loss of power breaks and steering. Those symptoms I never experienced on the dyno.

Definately didn't feel like a complete loss. However, it got very hard to steer, and the brakes felt really tough. That being said, I'm lowered on full size tires, so there could have been snow in the wheel arches, and lots of snow on the brake rotors.

and muskoka amg , sry about your lost cuz you are being a dumbass to drive that car in the snow, i bet the service guys were laughing about it after u left lol.. so fking embarrassing to drop off the car at service cuz u f it up by driving a rwd 6.2 v8 in the snow lol.

and dont worry too much about your car man, its probably just an ecu fault cuz of the nature of snow which creates too much computing for the ecu cuz of traction and stuff. so as soon as the service resets the ecu everything is gonna be back online again.

How much snow were there on the ground while you were driving?
We have some light snow here in Kingston but my C63 drives fine. I have LM60 on.

Mine did this 3 times the first winter I had the car (Canada). A bunch of warning lights came on and I lost power steering, power brakes, ABS ad ESP. I took it to the dealer and they couldnt really find anything but replaced one of the abs wheel speed sensors anyway. It has done the problem only once since then. It just seems to happen when your really doing alot of wheel spinning and sliding around and/or deep snow.
