Matte wrap removal

Has anyone here removed a full or partial matte vinyl wrap from their MB? Any damage to the paint?

TIA

I'm trying to see if there's any damage to the paint before I embark on something like a full wrap haha

Haha no comment at this point. But whatever you do, don't send Callmiro - I wouldn't be able to out run him... right now!

I have re-wrapped my hood and bumper. No problems or damage at all. I did a full wrap myself so if you have any questions i'll help you out.

Actually the whole idea of wrapping a car is to protect the paint. It would make no sense if removing the vinyl damaged the paint.

Did you use a pattern or just buy rolls & freehand it?

I would say that full wraps are more for style than protection, but I agree with your main point that in theory vinyl will only protect the paint; however, I was asking about prior experience because logic does not always translate into tangible outcome.

[QUOTE=justthebest;4421104]Did you use a pattern or just buy rolls & freehand it?

I bought a roll of oracle 970RA and cut out pieces freehand. Light painters tape and string made measuring panes easy.
