Computer says Service B due in 10 days. I guess this is due to the fact the car was built on Jan 09 (took delivery Jul 30). Had oil changed at 4.5k (Feb 2010) then again at 8.7k (Oct 2010) both @ the dealership. So do I really need to have another service done looks like nothing else is really done except reset the computer, my mileage is:

My dealer told me that is between 10000 miles and 12000 miles.

Funny story: I went to the dealership and asked what I needed for B service. Turns out, aside from wiper blades I had done all that was needed for my car's B service. Each car can have different needs. Dealership told me they run the cars vin and see what is needed from a specific checklist.

I asked the SA to have my DIC "B Service" reminder turned off. His initial response was "if you're not going to have this dealership perform your complete B service we won't turn your light off. He said its part of the B service price.

Knowing that this SA is rude to me I just politely told him that he must be trippen and that he can figure it out for me. When i picked up my car at the end of the day my Service B light was turned off.

Some dealerships are no joke.

Btw, my Service B light came on around 20,000 miles, I believe.

Main things they will change if necessary, is air filters, oil, oil filter, wiper blades, check remaining brake life and change in-cabin filter. There might be a few other items.

To understand what needs to be done, get a print out of what has been done, then look at your maintenance manual.

B service means only "2 hrs work".
