How to tell if dealer flashed over tune

Does anyone know a definitive way (besides butt dyno) to determine if the dealer flashed your tuned ECU back to stock while in for a service?

Lol trust me you will notice it during acceleration. Specially above 50 MPH it just doesnt feel the same. I noticed it inmediately when my mechanic reflashed back to stock by mistake, sent it back to kleemann and back to normal

To answer the question, no, I don't think anyone has come up with a 100% reliable way to confirm tune vs. stock. Maybe the people that program should figure something out along those lines!

I agree with soldier. The extra power was noticeable at first acceleration, so the loss of power should be as noticeable when you stomp it.

Well, seems like people with military-related screen names have more sensitive butts than I. Hahaha - just kidding guys.

If a dealer did do that, it would say it on the work order. "ECU reprogram of flash" or something of that sort to a "updated version x.xx".

reason #37 why I think "tunes" are a little over rated.

If you're feeling brave you could try a top speed run to check if you're still delimited.

Why do you think a tune is overrated?

+1 --> tunes are the simplest, easiest way to put a little more pep in the step, regardless of how you feel about concerns like engine wear, etc.

I think he was talking about how sometimes people with tunes can't even tell if they're still tuned or back to stock. Fair assumption, under normal driving conditions, very hard or impossible to tell the difference..

Or for the not so brave a dyno run will tell if it's delimited or not
