So the dealer has an 08 with 40k miles and a friend is deeply interested in the deal.

Car has P2.

Questions:
1) 08 vs 09/10
What are the differences. What is he gonna miss?

2) How much
I told him to try to get the car for around 45k with extended warranty thrown in.

3) Delimit the car
does he go via kleemann etc or a dealer can do teh same?

From 08 to 09 I believe the only differences are the auto mirrors in the 08 (09 doesn't have it) to the seat memory in the 09 (08 doesn't have this).. I think that's it though.

I haven't been paying much attention to prices, maybe someone else can chime in..

There is a performance package that include top speed delimiter (usually comes with, not sure if can be added on). But you might as well go with a tune and get some gains in there as well.

I would say a 2008 with over 40k miles for 45k is a little steep.

I got a mint "certified" 2008 from an east coast Merc dealer, with every option except the PP, for 43K. I bought it in October 2010 and it had 32,000 miles at the time. Also had brand new tires and brand new brake pads.

Have only driven it 1000 miles since. When is this winter going to end?

I got an identical deal as Brad3285 back in December. For $45k you can now get a certfied '09

Mine 08er got the seat memory on both sites

The diffrents:
-the PP from the 08er don't have the 30 hp extra
(but with the Drivers-Package u got a topspeed of 287 km/h like mine )
-the brake calipers are don't red with the PP
-the trunk spoiler isn't made of carbon on the 08er
-the mirrors of the 08er does look diffrent to the 09er

I paid 50k for an 09 with 13k miles on it.. 45k for an 08 with 40k on the clock.. seems too much.
