NEED HELP PLEASE!! c63
hello everyone, i am new to mb world..i have been more of a BMW fan but due to the fact that i was an employee at mercedes, i have fallen in love with the amg's..im looking to buy a c63, the only problem is i have a little bit of an issue..
the 2009 c63 i found is metallic silver, with 3k miles on it, for 50K$
the 2010 c63 i found is black, 1k miles on it, for 60k$
i really dont know what to choose being that i love both , but my friend has a 2010 and he pointed out the mirrors are different, and now everytime i look at a 2009 i feel like the whole body is different.
any help would be GREATLY appreciated, im sure this thread has been started many times before, my apologies to anyone who has gotten tired of hearing this same dilemma lol..take care everyone!

I would go for the 2010 due to the fact it's 1 year newer... but you got to bargain the price down since it's used w/1k miles already & the 2011 are out. Ask your dealer for the 10k $ incentives on the 2010. GL!!

thanks! , i was trying to bargain with the dealer but they were giving me some BS about since its a specialty car they cant work on the price, 60k..after taxes in nyc figure about 65, i agree with you that i should go with the 2010 since its newer..but also i think id be paying out the a** a month if id like to finance it..really really like the black though and those mirrors on the 2010 make a difference!

Here you go my friend... 11 pages about this famous 10k $ discount:
https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...-2010-c63.html
I'm not sure if they still offer them, but keep in mind some dealers got the incentives & it's up to them to keep the $$ or pass it to the customers.

$65 for used is too much imo. I got mine February last year brand new for $68 out the door with tax. Unless your car have p31 package I think u need to ask them for better deal. Good luck.

I think they only got their incentives during fall of 2010. Dealers were punching cars left and right and getting them sold by negotiating without difficulty. I'm pretty sure the "trunk money" isn't there anymore. The 1k miles is probably all the test drives or the dealership employees joy riding, unless it's a pre owned. If it is preowned, can't get the trunk money anyway since it went up in smoke lol. Since 2011's are here and the 2012's are around the corner, I would bet you could knock the price down about 5k more for the black and a 3k for the silver. Very reasonable amounts, unless the stealership is a douche. Take it when you can. AMG's don't sell like hot cakes lol. M3's however, do. I've only seen 4 AMG's in Houston since 2006. Mars Red C32, Black 08/09 C63, 08 Silver SL63, and of course my own vehicle. I've seen at least 1 M5 and many M3's to count since then. In front of my eyes of course, not the interwebz.

Hey I am not too familliar with the C63 Options, but what are the differences in options between the two cars you are looking at?
Also I love black and dislike silver. I have two silver cars and never feel like detailing and always admire others with the same car in different colors. So get the color you like even if it means you wait, but dont drop the extra 10k. Mirrors may be nice however do not justify 10K and if I am not mistaken can always be swapped. Nobody likes to toy with their new cars , give it some time and you wont mind + 10k can pick you up some mirrors and some.
This is not the end all, put a offer down on the table of 59,000 out the door on the Black and tell them to call if they have a change of heart.
Mind you I would take a older one and offer even less because of the price difference. Take into consideration the way that these vehicles deppreciate and how long you plan to keep it, that you have to expect these cars to take a good hit.
Both have low mileaege. so that is a plus.
Best of luck and I hope you strike a deal!

There are many posts that nicely outline the 09 to 2010 model years changes....which are not huge in my opinion and certainly not worth a $10k premium as in your example. Keep at the negotiations, keep emotion out of the equation and you'll find "the" deal. GL.....
