Do i need wider tyres after the Kleeman K2?

Hi, i have bought a C63 with the K2 upgrade donw already.
Only issue is that i have is the lack of traction on our damp british roads.
Therfore i assume that i need to fit wider rear tyres, is it possible to buy AMG wheels with a wider stance, and how wide should i go?

265/35/18 or 275/30/18 on stock rear wheel no problem, choose softer compound tires

.
How wide 19"? I am assuming 9.5" - 10.0" which should be mounted on 275/30/19. Some have reported 285 with success, but, that depends on wheel width, tire and offset.

This is what I'm not sure about, I'm currently runnin OEM 19" and am not sure of the width, but am wondering how wide I can go, and if AMG make a wider wheel, otherwise I will go aftermarket, but need to know what works.

they're both the same height.

OEM 19 x 9, so 265 and 275 guranteed on stock suspension, 285 nittos are skinnier so best bet there

Yes, wider tires do help with traction but you also gotta look at the compound of the tire. I would recommend NITTO NT05's or 555R's for best traction.

I'm running 275s on the optional 19' Merc rims. No rubbing issues and notable improvement on traction. Having said that the optimal width for the K2 package is probably 295 or even 305s :-)

I'm confused, can you fit 265/275/285 all too the stock 19"s? What about fitting 19" aftermarket wheels with 10.5 width?

The 275/30 will be taller than the 265/30 by about 3/10's of an inch on average.

Forgetting Tyres, what wheels, do AMG do anything wider than the 19" stock wheels?

I don't believe they do anything wider than the stock C63 19" V16 wheels, that will have the correct offsets to fit the C63.
