Kind of a cool video. For the price point of the blower -- especially because they are planning to sell to the SLS market (that's really high end) -- seems like an interesting marketing strategy.

I really like the sound from inside the car. Sounds awesome.

Edit: I'll admit, the vid got me to visit their website again.

sounds good but what are the long term implications from something like this? can the c63 transmission handle this?

This has been discussed at length. The consensus is so long as the tune is dialed in and fuel demands are properly accounted for, the engine should hold up to the 5psi power level just fine.

The trans can hopefully handle the 5psi power level. More than likely it can, mainly because these power levels are being acheived with tune and good headers already and the TCU will kill power if it feels it's in danger. So you're always going to be limited by the trans, as those who have plenty of experience with this trans will attest.

Weistec advertised that they can make the trans accomodate higher power levels. Many people are eager to hear what they can do.

I know the feeling of waiting for your twin screw. They are awesome. And on this motor, I'm sure the power will feel great. I'm looking forward to reading your experiences.

The engine doesn't sound like it has a supercharger. It sounds different from the video on Weistec's site....

It's really hard to tell what is under the hood from inside the car with some of the twin screws. A good top mount blower will increase the volume of even stock exhaust, as it will force more air through the engine and out the exhaust.

From inside the car in this vid it doesn't sound like stock exhaust. But, it doesn't really sound like headers either.

I guess we'll find out how these cars sound when some of them are driving around and more videos come up.

Thanks for the information! Definitely interested in seeing how they can accommodate for higher levels of power. Hopefully more info comes out on this supercharger and the Stage 2s..

The list of the mods on your rides is insane.
Amazing stable and variety of mods. Can't wait for the S/C to get installed

In your collection of 63's why did you choose to supercharger your CLK63? Cause that's the only one that is stock?

I had tossed up putting the supercharger on the SL, or even doing SL and Black Series but then thought that supercharging a boulevard cruiser like the SL might be a bit much. SL is the car i probably drive the most but i thought SC would suit the Black Series better. I really want to spend time driving the BS on racetracks so it make more sense to make that the most powerful car

Weistec

Where in california is Weistec located? Is this something we can stop by and check out?

Car sounds good. Wonder how that car is going to perform with it's S/C along with a set of LTH and full exhaust and other goodies?

Heat will be an issue with SCing, I would've avoided it on the BS since it is/will be a classic for a while. C would've been my first vote esp since there is so much aftermarket support with hoods, tuning, exhaust, etc

Look closely on the dash, there is a check engine light in the video. I wonder what codes it is throwing as well.

I have already shot my wad on the C63 and there is a vented hood coming for the BS so heat issue can be mitigated

The CEL is for a removed O2 sensor. Customer installed a wideband.
