Anyone in the US placed an order for a 2012 C63 yet?

I'm not talking about just putting down a deposit, I have a specific build I'm looking for and it seems like the dealers in Southern California are happy to take a deposit but cant actually place the order.

2012 is not an option in their ordering systems yet...

Anyone in the US get a custom order in?

No. It isn't even priced yet, and won't be until its unveiling on the NY auto show in march. The options aren't fully certain either at this time.
However, slots can be reserved for production, but i do not know if a "random" (sorry, best way i can put it, do not mean to sound arrogant or anything) customer can reserve them without contacts. Usually slots are reserved when ordering the car.

I now have a deposit down with my local dealer to be one of the first in line to order - when they become available in the US.

After test driving a 2011 C63 last week, I'm now pretty much obsessed.
My Audi S5 now feels like I'm driving a Toyota Prius.

This 4 -6 month wait is going to kill me.

It's probably not helping my new mental condition now that I'm checking in on the forum 10 times a day.

Actually, NY Auto Show is near end of April and they will showcase the C63 AMG Coupe. As for the price, my sources say it will be the exact same price as the MY 2011 or a slight increase of 2k.

I believe for new models you can figure a 2% increase in price.

Just got a call from my dealer, the order banks for the 2012 C63 are now open.

They called the factory to confirm some of the options I'm interested in.

Officially placing the order today for my build.

I will update the post with any details I'm able to get about specific options for 2012.

Rumors of LSD being included in P31 are apparently not true.
There is no option for carbon-ceramic front brake rotors, so we don't know if it is part of P31 now or will be an option later or is just a rumor.

It's hard to imagine it being included in the package...

There is no pricing as of yet, which we already knew.

^ Get the 040 black..looks much nicer when detailed properly. The obsidian will always look a bit dusty.

If you're not going to keep the car detailed regularly and fine scratches bother you, forget 040 black.
It's the best looking color when detailed IMO, but the worse if left alone as a daily driver--that's why mine sits in the garage
Any color in the C63 looks great, this car is so much fun!
I actually drove mine today since it was 60F and sunny

No question. Clean the 040 is the hottest looking C63 in my opinion. The dirty really shows...

The iridium looked more sporty though, the Black more classy... My opinion..

I detail my cars almost weekly when the weather is nice here, I use only the finest panda fur as a towel and unborn puma skin for polishing.

Personally i have Obsidion black now, originally i wanted just Black. I now have come to prefer Obsidion black and love it!... when its clean it still looks just as "Wet" as regular black... when its dirty, they both look cloudy so no difference. It holds up much better to micro-scratches from washing. When i had the M5 i swore i would never do metallic black ever again but there's something about the Obsidion black that real good, i definitley dont notice that 'dusty' look as another user mentioned.

so then whats the difference between getting standard 221 black nappa leather, versus the designo black package? I wonder if its headliner material or extended leather?

I just got a firm production date back of 7/1/2011 for my C63.

Looking at September for delivery....

I have to stop looking at this forum, it's only making the wait worse!!!
