Best adhesive to glue a CF front lip?
I just bought a CF front lip on ebay (not arrived yet!) and I'm shopping arround to find the best adhesive to hold it in place. (I will supplement the fixation with rivets and maybe 3M's double sided tape).
They recommand silicone glue. I looked and could only find "permatex" RTV silicone adhesive at local stores.
I was maybe considering Lepage's PL9000 adhesive (supposed to glue almost anything).
Would double sided tape be strong enough with the rivets?
What did you guys use and where did you buy it? Any experience, positive or negative, with the products mentionned above?
The lip should get here within 3 weeks so I have time to find the best solution.

I was thinking of "hybrid fixation"... some DS tape for instant hold and some PL or silicone for long hold. Rivets os stainless screws for added security!

The Permatex RTV stuff works fine. If you want the best, then use a automotive panel adhesive for repairs and you'll never get it off. But that means you will never get it off if you ever decide to sell it.

3M or Scotch double-sided heavy duty tape, plus drilling/screws will hold up just fine. I've done high speed runs on mine without any problem *crosses fingers*. I hate using glue because like some have said, once it's on, it's hard and/or impossible to remove.

RTV typically dries rubbery and easily shreds/tears.
Double sided tape (high quality 3m) with screws/rivets is the only way to go if you want to be able to remove it; otherwise glue it and hope it never breaks.

Thanks for all your inputs... I kinda want to be able to remove it (lease). I'll give it a try with 3M DS tape + rivets and if it does not hold I'll then add some Permatex stuff.
This is the model I got...

if i was you , i wouldn't use any glue or silicone . maybe just a strip of 3M adhesive tape and a bunch of screws . i have the lip from Euroteck and it just called for screws every 4 inches or so . i didn't use any tape or anything and mine is on like i used a bucket of Gorilla Glue .
