Lightbulb ***FEELER: C63 REAR CAMBER KIT***

Hello C63'ers!!!

I was just wondering would there be any interest in the development of a rear camber kit for your C63's. There is an increasing number of members that are now beginning to lower their cars. With lowering comes negative camber. With negative camber comes tire wear. With tire wear comes the dreaded PTBS or Premature Tire Buying Syndrome. This condition may cause a decrease in available cash for other cool car stuff.

For those that are lowered:

· Are you able to get the rear back into factory alignment specs?
· Are you experiencing excessive rear tire wear?

Any information you could provide would be most helpful.

Thanks,
Ghost

My rear tire wear problem is not from excessive negative camber, but due to the HP & TQ these cars put down for such narrow tires. My experience has been even wear accross the tire tread, albeit really quickly.

Good luck with any kit you build.

Would be interested. To answer your question, no and yes! Even a good local supplier of front camber kits would be great. The only company I know is in Australia...

I'd like the ability to add more negative camber. rear tires only last one season anyway, would help with possible rubbing issues from 10" wheels might even be able to get a 285 in there with a +50 offset.

I'm thinking about something like a camber plate for the front. What do you think?

If anyone could post up pictures of the rear suspension with the wheels off, that would be great!!

The toe is already adjustable and the factory settings have an abundance of rear toe in to act as a built in nanny in addition to ESP. However tire wear is accelerated with the rear wheels angled the way they are. I have mine set to toe neutral, I have 6000 miles on my Star Specs and one wear bar is still showing and turn in response is improved. It does however take tail happy to another level.

Front adjustable camber plates would be the best thing.

Which company in Australia supplies camber kits? Would I need this as well as the camber bolts I installed?

Any clearance issue, the reason why I asked because I noticed the stock arm is curve. Also do you guys offer them in anodize (i.e black)?

Lowering the car causes a kind of mid alignment of the wheels, were the top of the tire gets pitched in and the bottom out were it doesn't make great contact with the road... This will give an adjustment to have better contact with the road causing even wear and and better traction & handling

I'm not sure why the stock one has the dip, but no clearence issues. I could get black ones but that just adds cost since these are machined from a solid piece of aluminum hex.
