How do you remove the rear door panel?
Hello all,
Does anyone know how to remove the rear door panels? I've searched around, but didn't find any topic on how to actually remove them. I was installing my door lock pins last night & i pushed a bit to hard on the rear one & the locking mechanism dropped inside the door!!
I really don't want to take it to the dealer & have them charge me to fix this. Thanks!

If your car is still under warranty, just take it to the dealer and tell them your 5 year old niece/nephew/son/daughter/whatever somehow messed it up... That usually works, and it is probably a quick fix for them...

Lol, yeah i thought of using my 6 yr old son as a scapegoat, but it had the AMG pin on it when it fell into the door.
I don't think the MB techs will believe he was installing it! lol

DOH!!!!
Oh well, you should be able to do this yourself without too many issues, I have removed the doors on all of my vehicles in the past, Chevy, Ford, VW and Toyota (the VW being the most painful as there were 2 hidden screws I did not know about, broke 1 of them), as I almost always replace the stock speakers and sound system (I have since grown up.. no need to set car alarms off from 100m away that and having well over $3k worth of audio equipment stolen twice).

From memory: There are two Torx screws to remove under the handle. Then use a upholstery trim pry tool or a flat putty knife wrapped in cloth and wedge between trim panel and door and twist to pop off. The door panel is held by many clips and you may end up breaking one or two (I got lucky). There is actually a DIY somewhere in the w204 section. I think I also posted a step-by-step in an eBay lock pin thread in this forum.
