I want to color match the Akrym front lip to my car, is that a bad idea?

If you think so, I'd like to hear why. Sometimes things look good in your head and not in real life, or maybe there are things I didnt think of when you paint match something so close to the ground and so vulnerable to chipping, etc.

I painted mine. The flat black that it comes in makes it look to "tacked" on, and doesnt really flow well imo. Chipping is always a fear, but if it gets too bad, i can just have it stripped, and repainted.

Yeah, I mean, I dont really want a CF front lip since I dont have anything else CF on the front (and unlike the diffuser I have from vorsteiner, the OEM part was already a different color than my car, so it wasnt a big deal IMO). You think a silver lip could look good on a silver car?

Pert, 1st of all do you have any plans with your grille? If your going to color them black, I say color them black too or CF....What Im saying is try to match it with your grille, but thats just me. BTW you dont need our advice coz your taste and budget for your car is always top notch

Grill is stock, so yeah, if I had a CF grill Id match, or a matte black grill, Id match it....but I kind of like the undercover look too with a matching paint job. Im just also trying to see what kind of clearance I would have and see some more pics to see how much the lip sticks out. Yours was one of my favorite splitters, just an absolute behemoth....

Thanks for the compliment, it's always nice to have people with great taste say nice things about my ride...

Any other splitters out there besides Akrym, Vorsteiner and Euroteck to look at?

You could always have it clearbra'd after getting it painted.

I think it's not a bad idea. It would look very subtle.

As to wheels, just get the 19" AMG Multispokes - they look much better than the OEM 18" and your car will still have an "undercover" look.

IMO the wheels look amazing on a silver C63:

.
Or, you could paint most of it to match the car and the small "lip" portion that protrudes simply left black.

I decided not to color-match and actually like the way the flat black looks against the gloss. if it gets too chipped, I can always paint it.
