Twice tonight I noticed a fairly loud scraping noise while turning - once right and once left.

Any ideas?

More of a scraping noise than creaking. Normal asphalt.

Just two times last night but that was the first I noticed it.

I have noticed a groaning noise when I go to either extremes of the turning radius... Not sure what causes it, but I believe it is normal.

I can't recall the exact term, but the shop indicated that the my e brake was out of alignment, thereby causing a scraping sound during both low and high speed cornering. I'll see if I can find the service record.

Maybe something about the boot and it shifting and causing a very high pitch pinching/whincing sound? That's what happened with mine and they replaced the e-brake or part of the assembly. The sound is gone in mine.

I believe that is the power steering pump building too much pressure and it is not great for the pump. Try to back it off a bit if you hear that groaning noise at the end of the travel in the steering.

there was a huge recall for something with out steering assembly--a clamp tightening or something--could be that, just a guess--GL--keep us updated

Same issue on mine just now ... its at the dealer for diagnostics, at first i thought it was a pebble in the brakes ...

Sorry to hear that. I got the classic "we couldn't replicate the noise" line. Thankfully it hasn't occurred since. Best of luck and let us know what they find.

I have the same issue here. It feels like when at slow speed i turn my wheel to the full (left or rigt) something is grinding. It only happend few times so i took it to the dealer yesterday. Hopefully they ll figure out whats wrong.
