Suck it up.. our fog lights suck.. even worse.. you have to remove the bumper to install them.. My passenger side fog light is busted.. I eventually plan on replacing it.. but I have other things to buy first.. like tires (again).. oh, and house roof needs fixing, electrical work needs to be done.. backyard... (my wife seems to be diverting my car funds to house repairs... boooo)..

Front lamps/fog lamps/fog lamp is the menu structure, they are about $150 a piece, and sold via MB of Annapolis (I actually bought my car from them)...

I did a wash/clay/wax on this beautiful Saturday morning and found this
$250 just for one without installation? Damn. How can I prevent this from happening to the driver's side fog light? Is there any protective film I can use without it turning brown or melting?

Yes. I hade three broken fogs in my first year of ownership (lots of freeway commuting, the foglight killer) and then put double layer of lamin-x on the new ones. no problems since. Highly recommended.

Why don't you make friends with someone on the forum who lives in the U.S. Paypal them the $$$ and have them order them and ship them to you. It sounds like you could even pay the person $100 to do it and you would still be saving a couple hundred dollars
I have a buddy who lives in Sweden that I do this for as the prices over there are triple or quadruple the cost I can get the exact same parts for. I have even been able to do flat rate shipping through the USPS for some of the parts and got them shipped to Sweden for less than $30
Just a thought for the members that are getting ROBBED on the price of parts outside of the U.S.
I would be more than happy to do it, PM me
