Besides the normal ticking sounds that come from the car as it cools down as the exhaust contracts, last night I heard a faint intermittent buzzing sound after I shut the car off. Sounds like the buzz that you hear as the gas pump turn on before you start the car.

Heard it on two occasions so far and each time the car was driven harder than normal.

Any ideas what the sound could be?
