FONTANA PRIVATE EVENT APRIL 22nd
Guys, I know this this last minute but I have rented out one lane at Fontana this Friday the 22nd from 10:am - 3:00 pm.
As some of you might already know I was registered for a event at Fontana that same date but that even got cancelled so I just went ahead and call the track and rented it out myself.
I would like to open up this event to 10-12 other cars but no more than that since it is only a 1 lane rental. I want to make sure everyone gets in plenty of runs. I paid $2500 for the rental and I am only going to charge everyone $100 per vehicle so as you can see I am paying the majority out of pocket. I am not going to go to the trouble of setting up a paypal pay site for only 10-12 cars, you can just pay me at the track but please do not add your name to the list unless you are positive you can attend. It will be first come first served in order of replys on this thread.
If you are interested and sure you can attend please reply by adding your name to this thread and the words "I will be there".
Sorry for the late notice, I hope to see a few of you guys out there on Friday.
FYI, they will be doing tech inspection at this event, but I'm sure everyones car wil pass.

I might play hooky just to witness this.
Can spectators attend and just pay the $10 entrance fee? I just want to witness this record breaking event. Will you be running both no spray and spray? It would be great to see you break into the 9's.
I was hoping to just break into the 10's but won't pick up my car from DynoComp until the following friday, April 29th so too bad I will miss actually participating in this event by one week.

No spray, the nitrous is disconnected and I would actually love to have ev eryone go over the car with a fine tooth comb to verify that there is no nitrous on the car, just incase I do manage to break any records I don't want to be blamed for using NOS.

It's Good Friday, you're probably already off anyhow. They did not mention anything about a spectator entrance fee but I can look into it. All they said it tht it was $2500 for up to 12 cars.

Please find out. We're driving down to LA that morning (not in the C63) to catch a cruise the following day so we will be driving right by the speedway around 10 am. Perfect timing with my LA schedule. Hope to catch the monster!

I would love to go and check out everyone's car before I do any mods to my new C63. Can I bring my kids? Any age requirements?

My thoughts are as followed in any drag racing
Overall quickest fastest
F/I quickest fastest
N/A quickest fastest
So yea run it forced induction get the record
Then spray.. And get a record..
Or just go enjoy your new found power learn the in's and outs of it and hope you get some great clean runs.. And if you happen to come home with records great, if not atleast we all have fun trying.. Good luck everyone. There's a bunch of rentals the 22nd hope everyone enjoys and stays safe

I will have to add that to my list of questions for the track management. I have no problems with kids being there, I have been to other private rental where kids are present but let me double check on that.

If we can get about 25 guys total I can get the entire track but I did'nt think I could get that many guys to commit on such short notice. As it is I'm on the line for $2500 if nobody shows and even if 12 people show I'm still shelling out $1300 out of pocket but I am desperate to get the BS on the track.

It'd be fun to watch the two monsters go at it, but honestly you guys are still on a completely different level of racing. The CLS maybe way too heavy to break into the 10s while the CLK63 BS should have a good chance of cutting deep into the 10s (probably mid 10s). I don't think we'll see a 9-second pass at Fontana just because I know that track. Whatever temperature they say it will be, you usually have to add 5 to 10 degrees on top of that. And aside from temperature, that track has other problems
