CF Leather on Interior Trims
Has anyone considered wrapping the interior trims in CF leather like BMW does it in their E92 M3 ?
Has anyone seen this in person? Does it look good?
Here are some pics of an R-class with a custom interior.

Not a fan of carbon look anything (vinyl, leather, etc.). Just cheapens the look IMO. Use real carbon parts or inlays. On seats, keep it to soft leather.

I fear carbon fiber tape is becoming the space tape of the new millenium (if you remember the 70's) or having every metal part anodized gold (and i know you guys remember the 90's). If you're using real carbon fiber parts for lightness and strength, that make sense. For exterior parts the cool factor is lost because real carbon fiber resin is photo sensitive. Hence the sun causes it to yellow and break down over time. To make it last you have to paint it. As accents to interior trim tastefully, but not overly, done it's fine. But ask the Porsche members on the 6speed board how many of them have had it delaminate. Some companies are doing a better job with it (McCarbon). I'm not against carbon fiber per se (i have carbon fiber gear shift knobs and parking brake handles in both my 993 and 996 which I added after I purchased the cars), i just think it's being over done.
