Hope this isnt a repost. I just saw it and my fingers are still crossed for a 4 door BS If I am reading this right they are still planning on a 4 door version??? Wish they would finalize this stuff and let us see the final version available...

Whoever wrote the article believes that a non BS SL65 comes with a 525hp V8 that gets bumped to 650hp in BS form. This is the most misinformed piece of journalism I have ever read.

They need to come up with BS sedan. Its my next car if they make it...otherwise I dont even really know what to do..?? keep the current one and wait for all new model or buy the facelifted one... I think i m gonna keep this one if they dont make BS sedan.

I dont see where its written that they used the same V8. It only says that the SL BS power is increased to 650hp

The biggest question, however, is what’s under the hood. Recently some information was leaked that confirmed that the C63 AMG Coupe version will get the same V8 engine as the sedan version, so expect to see a tuned-up version of the same V8 in the Black Series model. For example, in the SL65 AMG Black Series model, the output has been increased from 525 HP to 650 HP. We expect to see the same treatment for the C63 AMG Coupe version, perhaps maybe an increase form 450hp to 575hp.

1. It's a run on sentence, talking about a tuned up V8 then making reference to the SL65BS without introducing a new subject(V12TT). "The output" has to reference the "tuned V8".

2. There are no 525 hp motors in the 65 line, the author appears to believe that BS tuning adds 125 hp. In reality he is comparing an SL 65 BS (V12TT) with an SL 63 (V8) and somehow thinks MB will add the same 125 hp to a C63. This clearly indicates the author thinks the 525 hp and 650 hp motors are the same in different stages of tune.

Yeah all speculation as far as Im concerned. But I do like hearing 4 door BS If they make it in a sedan I will most definitely make the switch. Since Im being picky I prefer the 6.3 Im confident we will see the CLK BS motor in it but the big question is how many doors will it have. I am hoping MB reads this stuff and see's how many people are wanting a 4 door. Wishful thinking maybe But Im in if we see a 4 door BS. If its a 2 door I will really have to second guess buying one...

A Black Series has never been a Sedan, they have always been coupes period. So until AMG says different, I will not believe any of these posts.
