The overall record is 10.27 by SGC's CL65.... I don't think they are using better tires or have better traction/launch than SGC's car because this specific SLR has very stiff (road-course caliberated) suspension. But yeah.... it's definitely an amazing car

i was joking a little bit but at the same time I was trying to make a point. The C63 is a sedan car and not really built for the drag strip. The engineers did a $-h-tty job leaving bicycle tires in the back and pretending to hold 443lb-tq.
Also, at almost 4000lbs there is no excuse either so that is why I am not surprise that SLR is much better suited for straight line acceleration. After the C63 also lacks on aerodynamic, it is virtually a brick.

Oh.... I thought you were talking about the CL65 because it is the one that currently holds the Overall Record NOT the C63

The SLR is not such a light-weight car either.... I remember one member weighted his and it came out to 3800 lbs but anyways, this SLR is modified not stock, so tires/wheels are different, and I'm sure a bunch of other things as well

nice find Mo, but I think the heavily modded V12 TT's are packing way more hp/tq SGC's rig trapped near 138 mph that much powers leaning on 9's in future

Absolutely.... I don't doubt that Steve's car has 9's in it and I can't wait to finally see a Mercedes in the 9s
