GTR trasmission - Proper double-clutch transaxle style (not sure if diff is included with box) manual gearbox

Its actually $4500 after discounts, and you should get free shipping with it, but this is for the SL63 which carrys the newly developed MCT transmission. I checked the website, they dont sell transimissions for the C63. if your going to switch the transmission, see if you can switch to MCT, its much better at handing tourqe and power than the dual clutch 7 speed. They have installed it on all 5.5 TT cars.

Whether the website actually has the 722.9 for sale to customers at the moment, I cannot confirm. But, they do advertise the box for the price I listed and that's all I was passing on.

I'm looking for a new transmission due to strange noise when it's warm.

For the moment it seems all OK changing gear but the noise and some vibration sometimes are very scary.

Moreover when I put in R there is a little bit lag before to move.

I'll put cat ro garage ASAP for an inspection but expectation is not good..

Being a novice , I may ask :

Can you change the actual transmission for the MCT without anything else being changed ?
If its the case , I'll be willing to pay the extra to get MCT like the new C63 and still have my muscle car look , instead of the girly look of the new C63.

My guess, you could physically mate the MCT to our cars, but there are alot of electronics differences, and you would need to have your ECU reprogrammed... My guess is that a dealership is likely not going to want to do it.. or most certainly not do it cheaply..

I don't know what you mean when you say "proper transmission" on the GTR. There are many other dual clutch transmission like the one on my own VW Jetta that works great and don't cost $23500 new.

Have you read the issues on the nissan GTR tranmission anyways? many people broke first gear so "proper" with reliable with $23500 price tag don't match up to me.

This particular issue had to do with launch control, and the fact that to use launch control you had to disable traction control, which apparently voided the warranty (there was a law suit, and Nissan sort of lost.. I won't hash it out here, but it is screwy, some people got replacements, others had to pay..).

They have redesigned the launch control system, supposedly it no longer voids the warranty, and fixed the gearbox issues.
