MHP Catted vs. Catless Midpipes

Anyone know how much whp is lost by going with MHP's catted (200 cell hi flow) midpipes vs their catless version when coupled with their longtube headers? Does the sound level decrease enough to justify the loss in power?

Thanks in advance.

Honestly, the 200 cell cats won't do much for sound suppression. You just as well go catless.

I would go catless.

I see you changed your header preference.

I would go catless too. I'm too afraid of HFC's failing and clogging up. I know it's rare, but it happens.

That's an interesting idea. I don't think I ever seen such a setup
mentioned here or anywhere else.

I got a 3" xpipe off ebay to see if I can fit it anywhere but looks like a custom setup is needed because of the wide mid-pipe spacing. Only place for xpipe would be resonator location and I wanted something closer to the engine.

Definately a custom job.

I know MBH will make an X-pipe for his headers if you desire.

The closer to the engine would be more ideal.

Does it replace his mid-pipes or the resonator?

Yes, I'm reconsidering my options based on some recent member experience posts. Hoping to join the darkside soon.

Well, if you can wait a little longer I will have some MBH vs MHP header data.

MHP headers and mids arrive tomorrow.

Petro is right, Ideally you want the xpipe as close to the front of the car as possible. Not only does it help balance each bank. It also help to aid in scavenging. The further away it is the less scavenging takes place.
