Review of Bridgestone Potenza RE 760
Just got 265/35R18 for the rear and 245/40R18 for the fronts.
Only have 100km on them so far. But from my limited experience thus far:
1)have similar grip to the stock tires that came with this car
2)looks better than the stock tires that came with this car
3)and I have a strong feeling they will last longer than 8000km (which is what I got out of the tires that came with this car; no track days)
4)steering feels a wee bit different but still very precise and this may be from the 245's up front
AND it cost me just over HALF of what it would have cost me to get the same crappy tires that came with this car!!! I hope MB is reading this!!
All in all I am happy with the RE760's. Even if they only last me 8000km, they are still good value IMHO

i was looking at those tires as well untill i found out that they were 5 lbs heavier than other tires in its class im about to get some wheels that shave 6 lbs off of the oem wheels so as you can see, i cannot waist all that money on those expensive rims just to gain all the weight back on the tires.

I have about 6000 miles on them and while they are wearing a little better than stock, their grip has not been up to par especially wet traction. I'm running 265 in the rear and stock in front.
Correction. I actually have closer to 9000 miles on them and there is still quite a
bit of tread left. So they will easily last 10-12 k for me and I drive fairly conservatively.

I just replaced these tires with PS2s. I got 9,000 miles on them - actually, I drove them for 9,000 miles - they were done some time ago. I will not buy them again. Their only positive attributes are that they are cheap and hard as hell. I will be generous and say that for the 1,500 miles or so the dry grip was OK. After that, they sucked. And they never had very good wet handling.
If you need to save the money, the RE760's are OK. But they do not compare to the OEM Pirelli's, much less Michelins PS2's.
