Got an offer to swap my c63 for CL600 2007

So my friend comes to me today with a suggestion to let go off my car C63 and get the CL600(hes got a very good offer). Now I am really thinking about it but it seems I just wont be able to let go my 63 baby. The engine is just too good and the roar it makes..its just amazing.. I

Don't do it. By now, that car is out of warranty (or very close) and the service costs on a car that was close to $200K new will be exponentially higher than the C63...nevermind the fact that body style is close to 2 generations old.

I personally would not do it, just on the maintenance costs alone

I would do it in an heartbeat but definately not without an warranty. You'll miss your C63 but once you pull up in your CL600 somewhere with that V12 on the side of your car and hear people talk about you car under there breathe you'll forget about your previous car. The CL600 is another level my friend. BOSS!

It's "another level" but it is also a very boring, albeit smooth, ride. The CL with its fair share of new tech etc is also known for its maintenance issues.

I haven't had any problems with my CL550 but of course the CL600 is the big dog so mainteance will be more. As far as fun yes you will miss your C63 but a CL600 is like a missile. The amenties are crazy, I gurantee almost every woman that sits in your car is going to be blowing away. Especially when you turn on the dynamic seats/give her a massage at the same. Hectic! But it really depends on what kind of guy you are to be honest and what type car you desire.

You'll regret that. The CL600 may very well have more presence and the idea of a big V12 is enticing but I found the CL600 to be very 'soft hat'.

Yes it's fast but at the same time like driving a couch with a big engine strapped onto it. Nice as a cruiser but very far away from the raw performance car which the C63 is.

CLK63 Black Series
This shouldn't be a hard choice, they are completely different cars. In a perfect world I would have both.

I agree with others - very different cars. Drive both and pick the one you like.

Go for it, you only live once.

You have an opportunity to get out of a $60k car and into a $200k car, from entry level to super high end? Go for it. Make sure you can afford the maintenance and then enjoy the ride.

Get a CL63 AMG with the NA6.2L motor, its almost as vulgar as your C63. The CL600 is just too smooth, but has all the torque in the world for pulling like a stealth jet. You will miss the real AMG treatment if you go CL600?

Out of curiosity, did any of the flashing enable a "manual" transmission mode (like they have on the AMGs)?

That's not really difficult to achieve. Manual mode in a 5spd transmission is pretty useless and lame.

Make sure coil packs are done, otherwise they're pretty reliable.
