This even is Sponsored by OE TUNING.

They will let you try out their software on the track for free! Probably give you a sweet deal if you decide to keep it.

The personal instructor is a great deal.. We are going to have two professional drivers on site, so you will get more then one session!

Helmet rental is also added.

Registration has been extended until Thursday. Sign up today! You do not want to miss this event, trust!!!

If you are on the edge of getting the instructor, let me just tell you I hired another driver now. So we have two people instructing all day, best bang for the buck.. Well, Don't forget.. You also get a CaliPhotography CD with pictures of your car on the track.. so that is a great value too.. Normally $65 if you wanted to purchase it!

Event Registration/Information Page: http://www.speeddistrict.com/events/...ent&event_id=1

Hope to see everyone on Friday,
Josh

PS - Even if you don't want to track your car, come out and hang out

Dang it...I was really looking forward to this event and I wish I could have made it to this one. Unfortunately I'll be hitting up another track later this month. I want to limit my track time to at most once a month. I will DEFINITELY be at the next one. Hope you guys have a fun and safe time! Take lots of pics and vids!

The professional instructors there said their best time was 1:29 using a track prepped 135i with 380whp. That's probably a pretty good reference point for our cars.

No idea... the track was recently resurfaced so that can change the time.

What did you run yesterday with your C63? My fastest lap on my SLK55 was 1:45.580

On fast laps they had:
25. BMW M3 (E92) 1:36.92 '07 420 / 1619 Steve Millen

for 1 tires make a HUGE difference so im sure that 135 "track prepped" had very good tires, suspension etc.... Im looking for stock C63. Cause no way a 135 is running 1:29 on street tires.

Thats good, my best was 1:45:22x , pretty much all my lap times were in the 1:45:xx range had a few poor ones getting up to 1:48.

Jeremy(OE Tuning) got a 1:42:xx, but the rest of his were 1:45:xx and up as well.

It was very hard because of that track prep!!! Didnt feel grippy at all, and Im sure as u know, usually when you are getting acquainted to a track, as this was my first time on Big Willow you get to use the tire marks on the track as reference lines for breaking, and lines etc...so it was difficult not having any of that.

Nice job! I was pretty surprised to what my car can do considering there's no engine mod whatsoever.

In addition, I was talking to few of the M3s and their lap time increased by 5 seconds from previous track time due to the resurfaced track. Yea, i totally agree with you. I was having a hard time getting grip especially on Turn 5 and 9.

BTW, the C63 AMGs sounded the best of the track IMO

Im not surprised at all, glad to hear about them running 5 seconds slower cause I was a little frustrated! My car is stock as well, but no doubt Jeremy and Xtypers cars were the best and most dominant sounding there.

CLK63 BS will run in the 1:33's with top instructors. The C63 needs tires and a limited slip if it's going to be in the high 1:30s. Conditions make a huge difference at WSIR so taking a time for a given car on one day doesn't translate to another day. I'd say 1:37 for a pro would be realistic given a P30/31 package and decent tires.

As for a BMW 135i running sub 1:30's, Proly not street legal and a long way from stock. I've seen some amazing times by race prepped cars in the past 25 years running at WSIR
but some of the times reported need to be scrutinized. It's amazing to see all the sub 1:30 cars running 1:35's with real timing and scoring.

surprising it wasnt putting the power down on exiting turns that was my prob at all, felt like the car put down the power well. It was the front tires giving out and getting greasy = UNDERSTEER!

And yes no way 135i is running sub 1:30's street legal or at least not on slicks with tons of weight removal

Got my SLK55 down to 1:40.946 couple of weeks ago
Going back there again on August 13th with extremespeed if you're interested.

I'm aiming for 1:38 =)
