Disappointed with the finish...
Went to self wash today to wash the car for the first time and noticed quite a few paint or clear coat blemishes both on the car and the wheels. (I think wheels have clear coat.) Now very minor and small, nevertheless...
Steel gray is much more telling than the my previous color, Palladium, which covered up scratches and nicks nicely, but this is the fourth MB I have owned and never noticed these flaws on any other ones.
Don't care about it as it will pick up more in time, just surprised of the mediocre quality.

I've got Steel Grey, I had Palladium silver previously. The darker the color the less forgiving. Try Black, it's not a color but an obsession.

Oh yeah!
Have to say, i really loved my California Duster before...I absolutely love it now. It's that bloody rear diffuser that spews all the dust all over the damn car. But the California Duster really helps me with the dusting. I do it in the morning, at night and that usually does it. The Meguiar's quick detailer keeps it looking waxed too.
I have had, this is my third black car so I knew what to expect, but still, that diffuser really annoys me!

It wasn't until a few months ago that I was "enlightened" into the world of auto detailing. I never really cared much about light scratches or swirls, but now I'm obsessed with crisp reflections on black paint.

My Black 996TT needs a trip to the detailer but I'm having too much fun spending mod dollars on suspension, tune, engine mounts, tranny mount, short shifter, exhaust etc. I keep wax on just so the paint stay pliable, but it is in need of the clay bar treatment and full swirl removal.

Ok gents. I think y'all misunderstood. I am complaining about the quality of the paint job, not about cleaning it. I have had hondas with better paint jobs.

True. But I still look at it, drive it and call it 'my' car everyday. Somehow I have always taken care of my leased cars like I owned them. If nothing else helps with the trade in process.
