Dr. Colorchip

Has anyone on this forum used it? Reviews. I got random rock chips I want to touch up and was wondering if anyone has experience with using it.

If you do end up getting this, please post some before and after pics! I have some that I'd like to get rid of, not sure if they're too big or whatever.

I have used it on about 5 different vehicles of various colors (red, white, gray, silver, etc.). The results are unreal! The best touch-up paint system ever. I will not use anything else after using it. Get it, you will not be disappointed.

Disclaimer: MAKE SURE YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT COME WITH IT AND FOLLOW THEM EXACTLY!!! The only people I know that had problems didn't read/follow the instructions, which are actually very easy to understand and follow.

Your paint code can be found on the certification label on the driver's door B-pillar.

I used it to get teh paint on my 2008 Subaru STI looking decent to trade on my E550C. The rear fenders were peppered with rock chips from running sticky rubber.

100% recommend this product....it did a great job.

before (ignore the rain and bad color from the cameraphone):

I've used it on several cars and it works amazingly well on small nicks. Not as well on big chips, but still good. Color match has been spot on.

Any idea if this'll work for scratches at all? I know they won't go away complete but if i can make them less noticeable I'm all for it.

Yes, it should work well for scratches. It is primarily intended for rock chips, but I have used to on scratches with great results. We had someone rub a shopping cart against the back corner of our Tribeca, which is diamond graphite metallic (sort of similar to your steel gray). The shopping cart caused several long scratches and the Dr. Colorchip was able to cover all of them up. Very hard to notice, even in bright light, that anything ever happened.

Here are before and after pics on my steel grey car - product is excellent. Darker colors seem to have better results, which they clearly disclose on their site. I did my wife's silver Lexus and it came out great also, but slightly more noticeable than the steel grey.

I think that it might also be removing some of the surrounding clear coat right? I mean you are "removing" the excess with some chemical...

I have used it also and it works very well. The paint is a perfect match but definitely better for small chips rather than big ones

I think I'm going to try this product out as everything I'm reading is pretty positive. Can anyone here recommend a good product for interior leather scuffs? I have one on my drivers side seat bolster where a sharp emblem/rivet from my jeans has scratched it..
