C63 Coupe Edition 1
Hey just curious if anyone out there knows if you are able to make changes or substitutions to the edition 1 package when ordering?
I am in Canada, and I know it's slightly different depending where you are.
Any info or knowledge on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Here are some of my questions. Thanks in advance.
A: Can you choose standard colors instead Magno Black paint?
B: Are there any other wheel options besides 19" Black Multi-Spoke?
C: Can you change Contrast Stitching from Red to Porcelain, or even Plain Black?
D: Bi-color steering wheel does it need to match contrast stitching?

I think the edition one is supposed to be the way it is. If the color, interior, exterior etc does not appeal to you i think it would be a better idea to just order a "regular" C63 coupe and customize it to your needs. Of course it is worth asking if you're intent on getting an edition 1

OMG do not order the matte paint...if anything, get a car and vinyl wrap it.
you can't put wax on it, you can't buff it, you can't take it through the automatic car wash, they recommend using a toothbrush to clean any impurities off of the paint, you can't touch it with your hands (the oil is bad for it), and if you dent/scratch a panel, trust me, you will be painting the whole car...no body shop will ever be able to match the opacity of the factory paint.
the only difference in the paint on the matte cars is the addition of silicone into the clearcoat...approximately 25-31%...don't remember exactly anymore.

Thanks for the input guys, Re the Matte Paint. That's kinda why I was wondering if one could substitute to one of the standard colors.
In Canada the Coupe will come with Magno Black. Though I do like the Look, I don't want the headache!
I guess I'll have to try & get more info from the dealer, but you know how miss-informed they can be.
If substitutions can't be made, than I guess my own configuration will have to be done.
I did however, like the line up of options on the Edition 1. Though I don't have any official pricing it does seem to me that the ED. 1 will be priced better then trying to do the same type of option list on your own. Thanks Again.

Thanks, good info. I had heard some rumours about this, and that's why I asked the Question, so I could see if anybody had any first hand experience. And so you have, Thanks much appreciated.

FYI - details that I posted previously regarding the magno matte paint come directly from MBUSA as a service bulletin.
No speculation, pure fact. Anybody that you talk to at a dealership who says otherwise has simply not taken the time to read it.
