2011 C63 P31
Search for the winter driving threads in here. There are a million of them.
Short version : yes. You can drive it year round, with winter tires being essential.
Long answer: lots of guys will tell you you can't.

hey radar,
I assume we're talking the updated styled 2012 here?
1. i think i remember a gas0guzzler tax of $2000
2. not much, most are MB owned. My dealer was a private dealership and i got only $2500 off only cause it was a dealer order car already ordered and cancelled by someone else. I wouldnt expect too much by way of discounts as they are exactly sitting on the lots rotting away.
3. sorry dont remember, but 4.9 seems ok.
4. dont remember but you can simpoy even do this online, except for the adding the provincial-specific taxes and fees.
5. ONLY with 4 winter tires, dont even bother without proper tires you wont get out of your driveway.

1. My 2010 had a fuel surcharge taxes & a green levy taxes. (1500$ & 2000$, I think?)
2. I went shopping to TO for my car, they are not strong on discount at all... so I just walked. I ended up buying mine in Ottawa, bigger deal than in TO (also due to the fact my family bought 2 Benz from them).
3. My car is financed not lease, so I'm paying 2.9% which is not bad for an AMG.
4. My car only have the premium package, my total invoice was 80K$ out the door. Expect a few more $$ for the P31.
5. The car is drivable in the winter with good winter tires, but imo with the money you will save in gas, maintenance (wear & tear) & insurance from storing it could buy you 2 winter beaters. :P

Have fun with your new Cayenne S ... it's also a fun car to drive, although it's a totally different car. I feel you about all the useless extra Canadian taxes we have to pay to get this car.

I hope you have driven the C63? If you have I am surprised the Cayenne has entered the equation. Nice but trendy, high center of gravity, not really respected in the autmotive world even though it has good performance. Not bashing, just a general statement to the SUV/CUV segment and having performance feasted on tall wagons. I would say the same thing about the ML63 even being an AMG.
I had an 08 G37S Coupe which I drove in Ottawa, much worse winters. Canadians are used to driving in the snow. I have driven my Mustangs, for pete's sake, you just need common sense, that's all. This car has so many nanny controls as well, piece of cake in Toronto.
