Jack alternative

Has anyone gotten a jack to keep in the car thats sturdier than the crappy oem one? I'd like to invest in a better one, but not a hydraulic jack as I want it to be small.

Thoughts?

Seriously. How many people have to get hurt or killed using this POS? I tried it once, and the higher the car rose, the more the jack leaned.

I cant imagine trying to use this thing on the side of a highway with an incline.

How are the scissor jacks they sell? Is there a safety rating for jacks or is based on load?

My guess is we are all SOL. Anything worth a S H I T is too big or heavy to carry around. Get a triple A card when your MBZ roadside assitance runs out. Cheap insurance and you don't get dirty or killed by the side of the freeway.

I saw some scissor jacks that are for RVs - those must be pretty sturdy especially for our smaller car. Only thing is will the adaptor fit in the jackingpoint.
