My C63 needs a husband
I went to see a CLK BS today. The dealer is asking for $81,000 plus tax. I offered him $78,000 plus tax. The car has 6 months left of warranty. Should I really have someone to do a PPI although he showed me the carfax? Is $78,000 too much for that car?

Go for it Dave!!! Ask them for maintenance records, if everything looks legit I would do it.
Cant go wrong with a CLK BS.
Is there any other cars that you had in mind?

That's the first thing that bothered me... the roll cage. It means this car was used for track a lot.

Believe this is the same car. Check out the you tube video as well.
I guess technically the car was "tracked".

A CLK63BS is still the ultimate in my book. If it's at a MBZ dealer and they will CPO the car then you can buy the MBZ extended warranty. It's not bumper to bumper but it covers the big buck items. Otherwise you can buy after market warranty (from the dealer) that are very much like an insurance policy.

What are you talking about? I have a CLK63 BS and it's under full factory warranty for 7 years 100K miles, even though I take it to the track. Mercedes actually encourages you to take it to the track, because that's what they built the car for in the first place. Otherwise I wouldn't have bought the car. Porsche on the other hand voids your warranty when you track it.

No...this car would NOT qualify for CPO with racing mods. I'm sure it got alot more racinf mods then just the roll cage. Extended warranty will run you around $6-$7K extra.

Yes that is true they won't CPO a modded car. Too bad. I got an extended warranty for about $1k a year on a 996TT. Used it once for an ignition key that went bad. I had the MBZ extended warranty on my C55 and it saved my ***. Got a new tranny, driveshaft and differential out of it.

I have a bad feeling about it. They probably ran that car to bone dry before they auctioned it! What other car I should get under $90,000??? Please no GT-R.

Wait for the right CLK63BS. One will come along. Very good condition 997TT are below $90K and 996TT are below $60k.

I don't like the E63 style. I rather buy another C63!
