Tire rotation

I have gone through 2 sets of rears so far. I have read on this forum regarding faster wear of right rear tire vs left. I was wondering if any of you actually rotate or swap left vs right rears from time to time for more even wear. My current set has no grooves left on right but some on left. Any opinions or comments??

Time for new tires ASAP! If you have no tread depth left you are at high risk of loosing control in any wet or low traction conditions.

Replace your tires at 2/32" tread which is when the wear bars show. Then go out and burn the old ones off and mount the new ones.

If your tires are are not directional you can swap them side to side but I doubt that there is really much to gain by doing this. I don't think it is worth dismounting and remounting directional tires to swap side to side.

It is a fact that C63s eat rear tires.

Thanks for the info. Conti DW ordered. I had the same pair and lasted about 2500 miles longer than the OEM Pirellis.

Steel Grey Metallic C63!!
The reason why 1 side has more thread is probably because you don't have a LSD. You're most likely just spnning one side more than the other.

I never looked and my car is in the shop, did the 2009 come with a full size spare or doughnut or what? Just wondering about rotating it in to service on the front on some car or another.

Car comes with a doughnut for a spare. You will not be able to rotate it into service.

This is just the cost of going fast. If you've dropped your car and have too much neg camber or toe in (which it doesn't sound like you do) you could always get symetrical tires and have them swapped left to right every 5K miles.
