I saw a C300////AMG (that was the rear logo) today near lakeville ct at the ALMS do with Garden State plates.

Had no time to take a photo.

Is this real or NJ hair extension poseurs?

The only reason I posted it here was that I've driven the C63 several times and think it is great fun, tidy, and a real value. I met a couple who were considering other brands, drove several at Monticello, and ordered one immediately. They were excited and seeing this fake tainted this nice memory.

I confess I do not understand this form of lying to oneself. It only deceives those who are easily impressed and the poseur themselves. how do they conduct themselves in the rest of their lives? What a waste of time to order and fit this to their cars. The C300 is a nice car on its own, one I would enjoy owning, i'm sure.

I bought my first C63 as a CPO at the dealership that was completely debadged by the previous leaser. The dealership offered to replace all the badges for free, so I had them do that. I think the badges look great on the car. I usually like my cars pretty stock. The way I see it, is if the car came with the badges, why take them off. It's already a sleeper. A little bit of "bling" on relatively conservative car is just perfect. Why be ashamed by the "6.3" or "AMG" designations.

If the owner had added the C63 badges- they would deserve a public beating. I am well aware of the AMG history and the belief of No Engine=No Badge. This is a ongoing battle in many subforums. I have seen S, CLS, and E Class's new at dealerships with the AMG badge on the trunk.I don't have AMG badging but if an owner has a car with the AMG components installed, leave them alone. If they installed the quad-exhaust, bumper vents, and specific model AMG badges (C63,E55,SL65)- flame on. Everyone has an opinion on this and we all know what they say about opinions.

The taxi cab C300's in Nice Fr last week had the AMG badge on the rear too. Even my wife could tell..... she said sure doesn't sound like mine I married the right woman
